Winter Canoe Build 15: First Snow + some building
November 25, 2020 - Belfast, ME
I wanted to see how the shed did after the first snow of the year, and everything held up nicely. Flakes accumulated and seemed to stick to the sides only for a moment; the base of the sills on the exterior of the shed were mounted over from snow falling down each plastic side—it lent a cozy feel.
In light of the snow and the diminishing daylight, I thought I would get ahead of the solstice and install lights (thanks, Jeff!) and pipe electricity from my brand new electrical box (thanks Skip and Tim!) through the trees, across the lawn, and into the shed. 100’ exterior extension cords (12 gauge) are expensive, but after the exhibition on the waterfront last year, it was clear we will have use for these suckers again.
